Violence Prevention Program ManagerΒ Β
she/her
BA, Macalester CollegeΒ
Nola is a Violence Prevention Program Manager who joined UHSβs Violence Prevention team in 2018. Nola is the point person on the team for role-specific training for groups like House Fellows and New Student leaders as well as by-request workshops for student orgs and other campus groups. She also serves as an advisor for PAVE and provides violence prevention consultation for Fraternity and Sorority Life.
Nolaβs approach to her work is informed by her experiences of neurodivergence, mental illness, and queerness. βThe ecosystem of a college campus gives us an opportunity to think creatively and strategically about capacity building and culture change. I appreciate the legacies of organizing at UW-Madison and the many people working towards harm reduction and transformation in their own spheres here,β she says.
Outside of UHS, Nola finds joy and balance as a singer-songwriter and through astrology and earth-based spirituality, chosen family, and lake and river swims.
